Gullwing Ascension — 1954 Mercedes in Flight
--
Gullwing Ascension captures a suspended moment where steel, sky, and imagination meet. The iconic 1954 Mercedes “Gullwing” rises against a coastal horizon, its doors open like wings catching the same wind that lifts the seabirds above. Light from the nearby lighthouse threads gold across the chrome, blending the mechanical with the atmospheric.
This painting balances precision with dreamlike movement — the arcs of the gulls echoing the car’s curves, the ocean’s reflection softening the boundary between water and sky. It’s a piece that invites contemplation and quiet exhilaration, offering a sense of possibility and near‑flight.
